Did the remote from the model one step down work with the JS8500? I'm wondering what to use now as my new universal remote that can control this set along with my other components (receiver, TiVo). If the remote from the set "one step down" can send learnable signals to my current universal remote, that would at least be a start. Thanks.
Sorry but I haven't gotten my television yet. It will probably be anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks before I get around to getting it. I did get the remote delivered and it actually operates my old 2010 Samsung LED Smart TV. The remote only has about three buttons on it that is not included in the URC Remote code set. I'll just learn them into the URC Remote. If the codes on my new remote operate my current old television I'm pretty sure they're still using the same code sets for the new ones.
