A couple of questions when i search for discrete codes to put into the editor software...

1. It says what remote the codes are made for. Since I am purchasing a URC MX-700 remote I should search for codes set up for URC MX-700 remote... correct?

2. I downloaded discrete codes for a Sony TV designed for a URC MX-700 remote, and the file had an extension of .mxf. I searched the web but I can't find a program to open that type file. Any ideas on what program to use. I searched the web on how to open it and it said VLC player but that did not open it. Also, if I could open the file is that where the hex codes for discrete commands would be and, once opened I would cut and paste them as you said to do?
