Here's a rarety.

I pay for my g/f's cable TV and Internet through Comcast. Two boxes, one is the standard SA and the other is that little wart looking thing. Both are non-dvr. The Internet modem is one that I paid for many years ago.

Well a few months ago she moved from one town to another 20 to 30 miles away. Thankfully though, it's serviced by Comcast.

I did the "move" all on line. Then I just phisycal moved both TV boxes as well as my modem to the new place. And that's it.

Granted the SA box wasn't working. But that was because my g/f never used it and didn't have it plugged in. So it lost its memory. So I replaced it with a X1 box.

The great thing... Told them it's a non HD TV. Because why pay for the HD service. Well it is a HD TV and the X1 box does receive the HD signal and gives me the 1080i. It even changes the channel to "my HD preferences."
