Thanks for this info, I had been led astray, told that the new smart tvs with interface box needed new discreet IR codes.

I will find a test vehicle to try on that big screen, and see what happens!

After more than an hour on phone to Samsung tech. last night I finally got my email from them this afternoon. A nice document, with lots of code data for all TVs through the 2013 models. They then state that after 2011, their TVs no longer accept rs232 serial data input commands. This follows what the installers here had mentioned.

Anyway, I'm going to give it a go soon as I can.
