Well, it sounds like there is nothing new out there that really stands out. I hear Sony, if set up right. LG is decent, a possible option. Find an old Kuro, that isn't going to happen most likely. A side note, I do have a 50" Kuro in my MBR, so I do know how nice they look.
My main issue for Family room is size. The 46" is a perfect size, though a slightly larger can possibly work.
I can't believe with all the current technology I can't find a great display........
