I think that you should explore purchasing a used TSU9400. Otherwise, you'll be starting your program from scratch. There is no application that will simply run your current Pronto configuration on an iPad.
Yes, it is conceptually possible to use your RFX9600 with another controller, but this will require more programming skill than working with an application similar to ProntoEdit.
