Hi,

My old MX810 stopped responding to commands-it lights up just fine and I can reload the programs (it appears to communicate with the PC just fine) but pressing any button does not do anything. I even took it apart and cleaned all the inside from debris and such- no luck.
I tried the re-set button with the remote plugged-in - still no luck.

If I can't get it to work, what can I get without braking my bank account?

I need the remote to control TV, AV receiver and the cable box; I have a DVD player but hardly use it (if at all).
I do like the ability of MX810 to switch between different audio modes on the receiver, and to control screen brightness of the TV.
I'd rather get a PC programmed remote.
