The distinction being the XBR5, (2006 model) had a full db9 port on the back where the new Sony's have a 3.5mm jack.  How many pin is it?  2/3/4?  This isn't documented.

Trying to get the XBR5 codes to work on XBR5 was challenging.  Most of the time, it simply didn't work.  Where I can take 30 seconds and compile an IR code list that is guaranteed to work.
