I have been trying to drive an IR emitter out of the back port of the KP-4000 for a couple weeks now with now luck. The manual states that it can be done, I'm just not getting any signal out of the emitter. I have the two leads connected to the DATA and GND ports on the back. I've tried multiple emitters. I tested them after I tried using them with this and they still work with another setup. I've tried swapping the leads like the manual suggests. I just can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. Has anyone had any trouble with this in the past? I understand that a base station it the easiest way to go about this, but that would require a new cable run. There is existing cable that can be used if I can get the IR to work correctly.
