I just discovered that anchoring works for the inputs, so that's what I'm doing. Didn't realize that it always indexed back to 1 on each of the inputs if you switch to a different one. I've been anchoring to VGA/"rgb" just because it's quicker to respond than Component in my experience (it instantly knows there is nothing live to sync with so throws a no-signal right away). A 0.2sec pause between commands seems to help too.
This will have a MRF-260 on it so line of sight won't be a problem.
99% of the usage is through HDMI 1 (Onkyo receiver doing HDMI switching), but it has an XBox 360 attached via VGA and a Wii on Component, so I want to make the inputs as bulletproof as possible.
Power is actually the larger concern, have a variable setup so hoping it doesn't get out of sync too much.
Everything is coming together pretty well now, as a first time user of CCP it's not too complicated once you wrap your head around "everything is a 'device'". :P
