OK, no response yet, so let me ask another question...

Is there ANY way to have the TV open a browser via any control mechanism?

I have a home automation system that I have connected to other LG TVs in the past; previously I would have the TV change to an analog video (composite) input to view my CCTV camera feeds from my DVR. Easy enough for the ASCII protocol.

However, I have upgraded to a digital system that no longer uses a composite video output; I have cameras that output 1080p as well. Nonetheless, I can access the DVRs webpage from the browser, but I would like a way to automatically launch the browser under certain conditions (e.g. if someone rings the doorbell). Any ideas?
