GTA stations affected:  Global-CIII RF41, CHCJ RF35, CKVP RF42, CJMT RF40, CFMT RF47, CITY RF 44, CITS RF36

  I.C. would prefer to make the move simultaneously with the U.S. so that Canadian stations will have some guarantees in the VHF and lower UHF bands after the U.S. incentive auction now schedule for 2016.  If CBC and CTV are permitted to vacate their transmitting obligations, it would provide more spectrum allotments available for the remaining stations that wish to continue broadcasting.

A decision on whether to repack with the United States will be released prior to the start of the U.S. auction.
