Yeah you could do all that, but you wouldn't be able to "bind" the button to the lighting scene. You would have a have a scheduler set some variables, then when you press the button it checks against the variables and picks the correct lighting scene. You'd also have to manually program LED feedback.

It actually wouldn't be that bad if it's only a couple buttons/scenes. Sounds like a "fun" project...
