Hi ALL,

Haven't been here for a while but I usually get some good advice.

I use the Harmony One for my primary TV but I have a secondary TV that I use an old 880 and it works fine with that TV and a DVD/VHS recorder (yeah I still have some old VHS tapes!!) I just added the Western Digital(WD) TV which will allow me to play digital videos directly to the TV. I got the 880 to work fine but of course WD did something nonstandard!

On the original WD remote if you hit the power button when the WD TV is on it just goes into standby and the USB HDD is still powered up. You need to press the remote's power button for 5 seconds and it goes into to full shutdown which is what I want. I learned in raw mode the power button into the 880 and while it will put it into standby it won't shut it down.

I have an IR repeater so I think I know what happening. When I press power once on the WD remote I can see one command being sent over the repeater and the unit goes into standby. When I press that button for 5 seconds I can see the repeater sending multiple commands with very little pause in between. I assume the commands are just the power command but the quick repeats tells the WD TV to fully shut off.

When I try to learn by holding the WD remote's power button down to get the multiple commands, I get an error message that it was a poor IR signal. When I do a quick press (I assume sending only one command) it gets learned with no problem. But when I use the new power button on the 880 I can send it into stand by but if I hold the 880 button down for 5 seconds it does NOT go into shutdown. I can see multiple commands on the repeater BUT there are much longer pauses between so the WD TV is NOT recognizing it as a shut down command.

So my question (sorry for such a long post!) is that I thought there was a setting somewhere where you can change how quickly a button repeats a command but I can't find it. Is there a way to get a quickly repeating command while holding down a button?

THANKS,
Gerry
