Since a couple of days ago I started getting Google ads under the Promotions tab of Gmail. I clicked on the Ad settings, opt out of it and edited and deleted all possible interest topics than somehow were there, but I'm still getting the ads, and they are starting to piss me off.
Is there a way to get rid of these on gmail?
Opting out does not remove ads it only removes ads that are geared towards your interests based on sites you visit, your location, etc...
The best thing to do is install "adblock plus" and "webmail ad blocker" plugins in your browser to help with the ads. Use a browser such as firefox or google chrome.
