[Link: store.sony.com]responds to discrete power by ejecting the tray. I found that one out the hard way (with the cabinet door closed). I was really shocked. Sony is probably the most solid and dependable (other than integra who effed everyone with the .3 or .4 series when they changed [and also for having that awful HDMI output failing issue across nearly 4 years of receivers]) for basically never really changing their code set.
In case you are wondering, the discretes do work on the 7200 series.
Play +Power works for basically almost all receivers for "discrete" (except sharp, but that is another post)
No sh!+?! We have intermittent issues with the Sony players ejecting the tray in our c4 systems, with urc, and pro control. Is it the power on command? It does not do it every time. I have not tried hard to find a pattern that is repeatable. Stupidity!
