responds to discrete power by ejecting the tray. I found that one out the hard way (with the cabinet door closed). I was really shocked. Sony is probably the most solid and dependable (other than integra who effed everyone with the .3 or .4 series when they changed [and also for having that awful HDMI output failing issue across nearly 4 years of receivers]) for basically never really changing their code set.

In case you are wondering, the discretes do work on the 7200 series.

Play +Power works for basically almost all receivers for "discrete" (except sharp, but that is another post)
