I'm in the market for a cheap (sub $100) blu-ray player. In reviewing the URC IR code database, I'm having trouble finding any cheap blu-ray players with discrete power on and off codes. I've reviewed the discrete codes on this site and searched the discrete code hunter forum. I see codes for Sony in the files section and some mentions of codes for some other brands in the discrete hunter forum, however, those posts are for non-current models. Does anyone know if the Sony discretes work on their current cheap models? What about LG or Panasonic models? I know about using a workaround like a play code followed by a stop and a power toggle to simulate discretes, which I will do, if necessary, but I'd like to find the real thing, if possible.
