That is correct - although I do not feel that I am doing anything dishonorable here, and I am neither depriving any of you guys, nor RTi, of your well-deserved earnings.

In fact I do not have any real alternatives to DIY since RTi is not well-represented in the part of the world where I live. If I can put work into my system, as I hope, I will share my solutions and contribute to the community - like I do on StackOverflow and actually also in my day job as a university teacher.

Conversely, if I cannot find a way to continue developing my system, I will end up moving to one of the (few) open-source alternatives - none of which has the quality and functionality of RTi (sigh).
