Glad to help! I am also going to be looking at iRule and the iTach with a tablet/phone over the next few years or so. I do suspect that in the long run not only will the Pronto become less viable and available but IR command in general will be gradually replaced by network attached and controlled devices. I am sure IR will still be on most devices but more as a legacy/basic control. For more sophisticated control, stuff seems to be going to the network. A great example is my Yamaha 2040 that I just got to replace my old Marantz 8001 that died. It has really nice smartphone/tablet control.....

My plan is to have a few Prontos so that I can use those for the next 3-5 years. I figure by that time all my devices will be network capable (about half are already) and I can retire the Prontos for a tablet control system.
