If it's touch screen versus hard buttons, that's no big deal. The MX-1200 has hard buttons for most common functions, although, it doesn't have the four colored buttons like the MX-890 which is why I initially considered the 890. Coming from the MX-3000, any hard button remote (probably) will be significantly easier to use.
