You said they are both addressed different/ did you put an address in both or just one to make them different. The code the factory sets is a test code and will see any remote signal. So make sure you set both to new codes
Addressing doesn't affect crosstalk one way or the other. Essentially, when the remote sends signal to the base, it "opens up" for a fraction of a second in which pretty much any signal can hit it. So while it typically doesn't affect most installs, it can happen. The issue occurs when you press a button on two remotes at the same time. That's when wonky things can happen.
