I got abused on another site for not switching from an MX-850 to a Harmony remote as it was claimed that would have solved my problem. I accept the 850 is flakey with PC communication and later HTM models and other brands do no have that problem. But we have 5 850s in this house operating various systems and both my wife and I have got accustomed to the 850 so I've persisted with using it. Basically they do all that I require of a universal remote.
That said, with only help from the manufacturer to installers and none to plebs like me, the Harmony would be a better choice for most people.
