This has always been my understanding so it's what I go by. The way I also see it is if they allowed the end user to do this then it wouldn't be on the dealer section of the site. They also do it Bc some firmwares or firmwares on certain devices do actually erase the program in the remote. The t4 to my knowledge is not one of them though....
