No, it's not. As the ex once said after we watched a totally CRAP movie, well, a lot of set dressers and other people earned money to buy lunches for their kids and pay their rent (the people, not the kids).
The idiot who did that surely got paid more than $1500 and probably didn't have to buy the phones himself. Then there were all the staff, who were also paid for their involvement. When you see something stupid and obviously pointless, that old maxim comes to mind: follow the money. There's money in it somewhere.
