For discrete power, play turned this unit on, and play, several seconds pause, power would power it off. However, I was able to find discrete power.

open/close followed by open/close will anchor you to the DVD input, but this unit needs to kick the tray all the way out before it sends it back in. Not a great solution there.

I was able to find discrete power and discrete input for Ipod. You could use ipod as an anchor point, then use the next input command to get to the input you need. This is the only work around for this unit.

However, you are using a Harmony. If you had a true custom remote, you could likely write these macros steps easily for each input. Truth be told, I don't know how to do it with a Harmony. I'd be happy to post the codes I have for you, but I don't know how to get Hex into a Harmony, and I don't know how to write custom Macros for a Harmony.
