Well, I don't see why this situation should tell us that Denon doesn't care-- they've been using both Sharp and Kaseikyo IR protocols for at least a decade, and have presented the complete set of IR codes in this format all during that time.

See this post for excellent links on how to get Pronto Hex and/or to understand the codes.

BTW, the Denon-K signals you linked to are hard coded to send 3 frames.  The Pronto Hex can be 1/3 the length if you use e.g IrScrutinizer to generate the codes.

For the great majority of the codes, You don't need to convert because they've already been converted.  Use the Pronto Hex in the spreadsheet in post #3 that Jasonvp made.  Or use the Pronto Hex that Denon provides.

I appreciate the links and the information.

IMHO, I think Denon dropped the ball with x-series. Sorry. Unimpressed. Just my opinion.

The codes I posted are cross-learned remote to remote. I know they are lengthy, but they (should) still work for whoever needs them. I didn't use IRS to generate the codes, just to verify the learns. I figured the hour+ I put into posting codes I'll likely never use means someone else can put in the effort to generate the IRS codes based on the obc I posted, which I thought I was doing to be nice.
