You could partition the hard drive and use BootCamp with a copy of Windows 7 / 8 to run those applications with Windows as primary operating system.

Or you'll need Parallels or VMWare Fusion or some other virtual machine software.

Both Parallels and Fusion can also "adopt" a BootCamp partition, so if you start out that way, but get tired of having to reboot to switch operating systems, you won't have to reinstall Windows from scratch.
