+1 for Jaybird, seem to suit the job well. One we did plugs into the front headphone jack of a small Denon amp with Sonos as the source. Plug in the wireless receiver to use headphones, unplug to use ceiling speakers.
Remembering to turn the headphones off or plug them in to charge seems to be the only issue..
