Simple system. marantz AVR, Oppo, ATV, an ADB cable box (fiber service), and a Samsung OLED.
Equipment was crammed in a little cabinet. cable box kept acting like it was overheating and would have to have the power pulled to reboot.
After trying all the logical choices, including swapping cable boxes, I finally found problem. The up command in the URC database was causing the cable box to lock up and do hang in a reset.
Anyone ever seen this before?
