I obviously punched the wrong button when I first set up the MX-980 for programming. Every time I connect the remote to the computer, Windows Mobile Device Center opens, asking me if I want to "Set up your device," which I obviously do, but probably not with what they have in mind; or "Connect without setting up your device." I choose not.
Setting up my device will "Get Outlook contacts, calendar, e-mail, and other information on your device." Now that I might want, because even though it's just a freakin' remote and I don't use Outlook AT ALL, it could be interesting.
There's no choice such as "kill this window."
What's this about and what, in a perfect world, would it gain me? How difficult is it to scalpel out of my computer?

A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything. "The biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place." -- G. “Bernie” Shaw |
