That is basically what I do for start up and operation. What I am trying to do is remind the operator to check if the disk is removed when leaving the DVD or CD activity. When another activity is selected, the program jumps to the "Disc Removed Check" first and waits for a reply, then proceeds to the desired activity.
you could also (with variables) have this be run ONLY when coming out of DVD/CD to something else or with power off only if the DVD/CD was used during that session... maybe you have done that already.
