I wanted to take the time to lay this out a little more logically and even more organized than before. In the past, my posted codes for the Sony Projos have been x-learned or generated from outdated protocol sheets. I also relied on the help of others to verify the functionality of the codes, as I was awaiting delivery of my own ES Projectors. Now that I have the projo in hand and a night of "free" time, I can lay these codes out better for viewing on a web page.

Learning a dozen or so remote buttons from the OEM remote and running them through IRScrutinizer, we learn that this line is device 84 (d=84). I have not found this listed specifically on any protocol sheet I have found, nor do I know the complete 20++ year history of the Sony Protocol. I am confident that there is someone out there much smarter than me that can find that d# listed on a sheet somewhere. For now, I am confident this is the right device number based on the hex learns from OEM.

I am going to present the codes in groups. The first group are the Sony15 codes (15 bit codes). The second set will be the Sony20 (20 bit) codes.

These codes should cover the Sony VPL-VW1000ES, VPL-VW1100ES, and VPL-VW600ES. Many of the codes will work for other Sony Projectors like the VPL-HW50ES, VPL-HW55ES. However, there are some functions that the higher end projos have such as black level adjustments. Even within the series lines of the codes listed above, a handful of codes don't work for the 600ES and are noted as such along the device function name. (For instance, the 600ES does not have an Input A, and therefore it ignores that code).

9-7-2014 Edit:

Having used bothe the 600es and 1000es in the field, I have found some interesting caveats. The Input A and command sends one projo to HDMI 1 and the other to Input A.

Basically what this means for you, (until I can get back and document each projector individually) is that the label name for the input on the hex codes posted below may send your projo (based on its model) to a different input than its label name. However, try all the different DISCRETE input hex codes. I assure you, the code you need is there, just try them all for now.
