Certain mx-650 can be upgraded via PCL300, if you have xp computer. For remote without discretes, the use of UEI one-for-all/ radio shack remotes that take advanced codes(EFC). These are 3 and 5 digit codes for individual functions, like power on or off. A current model of UEI remote is the RCA RCRP05BR. No other RCA model will do.
How do I know if my MX-650 is upgradable with this PCL3000? I do see a 7 pins connectors in the battery compartment.
