If you are searching for a replacement screen
for you Pronto, you have hit the annals of knowledge.

Thanks to all the people who have posted pictures,
contacts, and experiences on replacing the screen.

I ordered mine from www.earthlcd.com by calling
their offices directly. Their service was excellent
and I had my remote the next day by FedEx. I,
unfortunately, did not find a single T6 screwdriver
and had to buy the set for $24 at Home Depot.
Add that to the $30 for the screen and the $25
bucks to FedEx Overnight (I couldn't wait to put
my remotes away again!!) and you get $79 bucks.
Still $70 (not including shipping) less than a
refurbished unit with the additional satisfaction
of fixing it yourself.
My screen took me about 5 minutes to replace,
since I had done a few practice runs with the
old screen. I recommend you practice unplugging
and replugging in the ribbon cable to the screen
and get comfortable with it before you attempt
the install (I would do it before you order the
replacement screen to see if it is loose). Once
you know your way around the remote, the fix is
a snap.
The new screen is sharper and less sensitive to
the touch (as aforementioned) but it works great.

Thanks again to all the people who posted and
to earthlcd for their service.

Happy viewing!

I thought it was only $99 for replacement and/or repair of the pronto. (was $149, but now reduced)
