I, like many others, recently cracked my Pronto screen. Having replaced it I thought it would be useful to post my experience.

Having read all the threads on this forum about screens a relpacement screen was ordered from www.earthlcd.com

The new screen was a Samsung UG24U01WGHT3A. The old screen was the 'B' version. It took about an hour to fit, probably 'cause I'm a newbe to electronics!

After fitting the screen the customary 'two' beeps were heard, and the display is OK - NO black bars as some have described. I will admit, it's not a perfect display, but not far off.

I live in the UK, and despite many web searches could not find a UK supplier. Shipping costs were only $35 the screen $39 - the screw driver (Torx6) £4.79 from Maplin's - much cheaper than £150 for a new one!
