I run a golf tournament every year to support families who have children/teens that have been diagnosed with cancer. This is our 3rd year holding the event and up until now the tournament was always the Friday after Labor Day and Cedia was later in the month. Apparently Cedia was typically that same week we hold the event with the last two years as the exception. So going forward I need to possibly rethink the event date.

I'm excited because this year we will have a recipient of a Make-A-Wish donation speaking at the golf tournament. She received the donation from our event last year. [Link: spreadjoyandlove.org]

Sorry to throw a wet blanket on everyone's excitement to see Brenden's mom! I was excited too because knowing he is only 18, that would put his mom around my age! ;)
