Please do not stop. I enjoy the apparent anxiety/anger/guilt/embarrassment/insanity, etc., that your commentary invokes in the others. :)
The internet is a marvelous thing. 25 years ago, if you read in a news magazine somewhere that an AV installer in some part of the USA misspelled some things once, your panties would never bind up (I am not singling you out Ernie....I refer to everyone). But today? With the internet? WTF happened?
Yeah, literally.
They need to create a TV show that realizes the virtual world we live in. For instance, the discussions on this forum. In real life. The members face to face. Would there be punches thrown? Or would you end up with a room full of awkward nerds and geeks who could not look up from their phones, and would rather discuss their favorite DA amplifiers and their latest interaction with Comcast?
I think we'd get along pretty well, libations would be poured, conversation would be swift and enjoyable. As you say, people together don't act the same way they do by long distance. A major reason for this is that when someone speaks to you, you get the emotional tone of what they're saying in a way that can only be done by writing much better than ours. I mean, that's the whole reason people are working on a sarcasm font.
