Hi, I'm in need of the Discrete IR code set for a Samsung ME55A Display. The buttons I need the most are the displayport and DVI input.

I have the rs232 commands but I wasn't sure if those could be converted into a IR hex string? If so, what is the best way to go about converting it?

However, the OP never got back to anyone one it. Regarding converting RS232 to IR, unless you have a device like the xantech (and others) that support this, (they take the rs232 signal then convert it to IR within a separate component, you are out of luck. Plus, they are very expensive and aren't guaranteed.

I know Samsung has been a little brutal the last few years with their codes, but most of them are known.

So:

What is the year stamp on your TV?
What codes have you tried?
What control / control system are you using for this TV? (It doesn't really help if no one knows where you have started from or what you can test). URC? RTI? Savant? elan? c4?

I personally, based on the likely vintage of this TV start with either Samsung Series 6 LCD or LED hex codes, which are posted on this forum not too far down.
