I don't get it. The site referred to in the link tells me that I should not use the XP emulator after the 8th unless the computer is not connected to the internet.

Does that mean I can put that software on "that laptop" (yes, the one I was talking about in the first post) and not use the software while I'm online; then turn off wifi and use the XP thing; then exit it; turn my wifi back on etc?

I'm going to "get it," which to me means download files that I can install later.  But the wording on the site makes me think I must download and install it, which means that I can't download it once and then copy it to other computers and install it later on them,
