I still have a micro XP MCE 2005 system I built in 2006, and recently got the notice (it's just BARELY capable of playing un-demanding 1080p video with XBMC). Even back then, XP was already 5 years old and Vista was just about to come out - I remember because I was able to request free Vista DVDs, which I never ended up using.

Honestly, 12 years is long enough to cling to an operating system. If we backtrack 12 years prior to October 2001, which would be October 1989, you would've been running DOS 4.01 and, if you were a weirdo, Windows 2.0.

Time for an upgrade my friend!
