Apparently they only use a photoelectronic sensor, not also an ionization detector, limiting the ability to detect "flaring" fires. So... it's much less good than a $29 dual-tech detector from your local big box store; it might not detect the fire *at all*, and even if it does, you may have silenced the alarm, so it won't go off.
But at least it looks good...
