Customer called last night at 8:30. Of course its OUR system we put in that's causing problems. Has no pic on one of his Dish joey's. SCreen said "turn off. Unit is 168 degrees. Max I 158".

Of course, I told him to just turn off the Joey like it freaking says! Told him to call Dish and tell them. The rack room is not warm AT ALL. Has at least 8 fans in rack AND a large exhaust system. It was difficult to make him understand its a Dish issue. Of course that was made harder since I was just there yesterday explaining he has TWO fail HDMI boards in his integras (but the good news is the new Integra policy is he will get too BRAND new units shipped pronto). New ones in route.

He called Dish. I got a text this morning telling me not to come as dish said "The Joey needs to be disconnected from electric outlet almost every other day when its not in use.". That is the biggest bunch of BS I have ever heard! Sounds like a design issue and their "fix" is not acceptable.

158 degrees is way to high as a limit anyways.

Glad we do 95% directv over dish! Hate Dish. Junk. IMO

Anyone seen/heard anything like this?
