The growers in CA have the most potent strains around according to high times. In LA, the medical mj setup makes it *almost* legal, it's so easy to get. There are literally 5 dispensaries within walking distance from my house in the valley.
The really cool things happening in the medical and legal states is the new strains being bred. They are making strains with high levels of CBD (the painkiller/nausea relief) and low THC (the stony/high part). This is the kind of medicine they gave the little girl on the specials, it's awesome to see!
As legalization spreads, real scientific peer reviewed studies are going to become much easier to do, and true research into pot as a medicine is finally happening.
