Resetting means that anything you have programmed, such as an input's audio mode or a digital input connected with non-default video input, will require a service trip. Think that through before you call so you can warn the client that you might be able to avoid a service trip, you can't guarantee it, but it's worth a try.

I wonder if the blinking red light might indicate a shorted output or other power amp problem.
