All the manufactures have problems and defects of some variety or another. No one really has it 100%.

I am not crazy about NAD. I hear it sold to customers because of it's speaker power rating vs other manufactures. Of course, that's about as important as contrast ratio. It's not like everyone is using the same scale.

The modular card concept seems cool, but I have not once seen it used or need to be used. You should be changing out your receiver every 5 years anyway, not swapping cards for the next (broken) version of HDMI.

Zone 2 is a nightmare. The menu is worse than Yamaha Adventage series. The remotes are playfully silly and feel cheap. And they don't have the same number of analog and digital input. This means if you do use the zone 2, you might have 7 zone 1 sources, and only 4 analog jacks for zone 2. And two of the inputs are dedicated for media player and ipod. Silly.

It still takes a iTach rs232 to IP piece to use the NAD app. What a joke. 2014 and no network jack, but you build an iphone app? Get real. I'm not crazy about them on the whole. They feel lightweight and inexpensive like the Marantz receivers. If I am going to spend $1000 on a receiver, I'd like it to weigh more than 30 pounds.

Of Course, these are just my personal opinions and are not reflective of my company or associations. We all have our preferences. I am not slamming NAD, only saying that I have yet to be impressed.
