I had same issue and it would resolve if I waited few seconds and ran the app again (in other words just a wait). Not that it is a fix in all situations but I assigned static IP to ios devices when they are connected to my home network. It appeared that it was taking long time to negotiate the dhcp protocol to obtain a dynamic address.
