I read that. He did buy from a professional installer and has over $1000 invested in it now.
I don't think that he should be held hostage from his installer this time. I'm fully capable and have done this sort of thing before so I thought I'd save him the money for something that he legitimately bought already (and paid for twice over by now).

Again, I won't be taking any business from any professional installer. I just want my dad to be able to use what he paid for. He surely never saw the box stating permanent professional maintenance at unregulated prices after the 'mandatory installation' sticker. I know most installers are probably great, but when I see another example of someone taking advantage of our seniors, I want to do it myself.
