I went there first and didn't see any programming software to download so I searched here and found a few threads debating the ethics of selling remotes that can't be programmed by the user. Of those threads I saw messages offering to PM the software.
I'm not planning on undercutting the local programmer who is 2 hours away who charged my 75 year old dad $400 to make changes. There has been a change in cable providers at my dad's house and I'd like to update his remote to work with the new hardware.
Is there a change of policy with urc and somewhere on that site that I missed or is that just a smart ass answer welcoming me to this site?
