When I did car audio, I thought about making something to cut 6x9 holes, but then I got a body panel saw and gave up.
My buddy Russ did car stereo back in the 80s before getting into A/V, both commercial and residential. He was joking with a manufacturer about a 6x9 hole saw once, and he's told me they made up a display unit in the actual 6x9 shape. Obviously, spinning it wouldn't work, but it looked cool.
